As the Surround Library team asked to me for joined them, i'm very glad and happy to help this new service to growing and growing.
Surround sound is an old sound design way... But natural surround recording is a new look about the true sound of life . The different approach for surround microphones system are all interesting and every sound engineer may have the benefit of each system. Cause i do often working on documentary movies i was looking for the best quality and practical gear. By the way i created my own surround microphone system organised around Neumann MS system and Sennheiser A-B, the both are mounted in the same Rycotte . These four microphones provides 4 channels (2MS and 2AB) these four channels are recorded on my Nagra6 usually in 48Khz-24b for full broadcast use.
Anyway, despite the system, the most important is the dream power of the sound.
Wen i'm working i do feel like a "DreamCatcher" cause, like a dream the sounds are suddenly arrived and more suddenly goes , except for these i did record!
When audience listen these sounds, audience are not listening, audience share a dream… Enjoy.
