About Dorian DARCOURT
Dorian Darcourt is a french sound re-recording mixer and sound editor working in the film, TV, and video game industries, for more than 15 years now.
He started officing in the tv commercial business as a freelance, then opened its horizon to documentary, TV series, and film.
More recently, Dorian has entered the video game world, and the educational department by giving courses and help in highly respected schools and professional learning courses.
He's also the founder of Sound Designers .Org, the most respected and serious french language community about sound post production on the internet, with more than 11.000 members to date.
Dorian has always been interested in surround sound, and has naturally dived into ambisonic, as it seemed to him to be the most cumbersome format for post-production, thanks to its phase compatibility concerning downmixes, and the various plug-ins possibilities to decode and manipulate the sound field in the studio.
He's now learning a brand new job, sound recordist, and is taking its SoundField ST450 wherever he goes, to bring SurLib several original surround sounds.
